I found a nice bedroom set on sale over Thanksgiving and got some “Black Friday” 20% off. Its the first room in the house on the way to be done. Now its time to hang some pictures. I have way more drawers than I’ll ever have clothes.

I love the fact that a simple coat of paint can change the feel of a room so easily. While the cream wasn’t bad, the new color softens the “brightness” a bit.

Now off to start cooking dinner tonight – having friends over for a low country boil!

I know what I do isn’t always “tangible”.  Technology lives in this virtual room somewhere on a bunch of servers. Today, I found a real world example that will help to explain it thanks to Fox News…just imagine this happening inside a computer and I think you’ll get the idea…

Josh and Jenny brought her to visit after going to the fair Saturday.  I have this “puppet” we got off QVC a while back that looks like some alien dog. I was hoping it wouldn’t scare her.  She’s learned to giggle and its really cute.

I really wanted whoever was washing my dishes to be able to see what they were doing (yes, that’s usually me but a boy can have dreams right?) and I didn’t want it to feel so sterile.  Saturday morning I went to Lowe’s and started with my little project… I decide to put two 50w Halogen recessed can over the sink, replace the center light with some directional Halogens, and add under the cabinet lights to bright the counters a bit.

Cutting the hole for the new light Marking where the new lights go messy kitchen... Cutting the holes for the lights Drilling through the joist Running the wires Installed new ceiling box (you can see the simple hole the builder left) Wiring up the recessed cans New cans installed... New Halogens in the center Ha - they actually worked (I did graduate from NCSU) Yeh, this one works too Under the cabinets are a must View from the living room The "new" kitchen Trying to find the kitchen's best side... Um... mood lighting...I mean for one day :-)

Now to decide whether to paint the green you see beside the oven – I haven’t decided if its too dark yet or not. Its really coming down to one of those “paint a wall and see” decisions.
